Lawrence Justice Matters is emphasizing 5 areas of ministry this year: 1) Affordable housing; 2) Jail expansion; 3) Racism in the schools; 4) A new mental health facility; and 5) Working to prevent childhood trauma. The Nehemiah Action assembly, a city-wide meeting in which these issues will be addressed with appropriate leaders, will be held at the Lied Center on Thursday, March 30 at 6:30 p.m. (You’re asked to be in your seat by 6:15, because people without tickets may sit anywhere at that time.) If you would like a FREE ticket, please let Pastor Cheryl Harader know as soon as possible: firstname.lastname@example.org If you’d like to talk more about any of these issues, please contact Pastor Cheryl.
There’s a prayer guide for the 5 days leading up to the Nehemiah Assembly. They are in the Sunday School classrooms, or you may ask Cheryl for one.
