1:00 p.m. Team Blue Burroughs Creek Historic Walk

Learn about the earlier days of Lawrence and take a stroll on the Burroughs Creek Trail.  This paved walk is suitable for a variety of ability levels.  Along the way, we’ll learn about famous or infamous Lawrence families, La Yarda, Langston Hughes, and a WWII  POW camp.  This is a linear trail so our route will be an out-and-back.  We’ll plan on a 2-mile round trip but you are welcome to walk farther if you’d like.  Meet at the parking lot on the south side of Hobbs Park on 11^th Street at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 26.
