Our next book is “Maid” by Stephanie Land. Land was pursuing a college degree and career in the northwestern US when she faced a major detour with motherhood and finding a job to support herself. She worked in a variety of housekeeping/nanny positions and writes about her experiences working for those in much more financially robust situations. Her work also explores the perceptions between the working class and the wealthy families whose homes and children are cared for by others.
