Kickoff Sunday: 838 Worship Service & Backpack Blessing

We’re having a backpack blessing for students and educators during 838 worship service on 8/21! It’s part of Kickoff Sunday, formerly Promotion Sunday. We will celebrate the start of a new school year! Kids will begin their new Sunday School classes for their grades. In both 8:38 and 11am services we will thank all of our spiritual formation volunteers, give a backpack blessing for our students and educators, and distribute new Bibles to our 6th graders. Following the 11am worship service, we will have our third-Sunday fellowship lunch with hamburgers, hotdogs, and fixings. We look forward to having you join our celebration!

About our 8:38 a.m. worship service: This service is in-person only (not livestreamed), and is more contemplative and interactive in nature. (Join us at 11:00 a.m. for a livestreamed service!) It’s about 45 minutes long.
