Guest Missionary: Christine Lafferty with AMOS Health & Hope

Christine will join us for Sunday School at 9:30, worship at 11:00, and the fellowship lunch at 12:15 to tell us about her work in Nicaragua with AMOS Health and Hope. Christy has been serving God and her brothers and sisters in Nicaragua since 2012. AMOS uses an empowering approach, following Christ’s example of listening to and healing the most vulnerable, engaging communities as full partners by training local Health Promoters. This program provides preventive and curative health services to remote communities with no doctors.

Christy facilitates short-term mission opportunities, engages churches and individuals as partners in long-term ministry, and helps create multi-media content that helps share the stories of the people being touched by AMOS’s ministry. Christy is also part of a committee in Nicaragua that is organizing a cohort of local lay leaders and pastors to participate in Palmer Theological Seminary’s Master’s in Theological Studies (MTS) Latino/a Ministries program starting in August 2022. She lives in Managua, Nicaragua, with her husband, Abel, and their son, AJ.
