Lunch & Missions Ministry Visioning Meeting on AMOS Health & Hope

A new ministry “seed” is being planted at FBC!  The generosity of the Wise/Bailey family is enabling FBC to plant and nurture a seed that has the potential to develop and grow into a long-term international missions ministry for our congregation.  After the 11AM service on May 21 you are invited to hear the Missions Ministry introduce their vision of establishing a long-term covenant relationship with AMOS Health and Hope in Nicaragua. That vision includes FBC supporting the ministry of AMOS with periodic hands-on service, sustained financial giving, and prayer.  In turn, AMOS would help FBC expand our core ministry of service beyond our walls and help us introduce practical approaches to addressing the basic healthcare needs of the most vulnerable in Lawrence.  Your ideas and wisdom are needed as we lay the groundwork for this exciting new ministry.

For those in-person on May 21, the Missions Ministry will be providing a lunch that you can enjoy while we meet and discuss (the meeting will start at 12:15).  A free-will offering will be collected to offset the costs for Dava Cooper to participate in an AMOS “educational trip” to Nicaragua this summer.  For those online, you are invited to participate by Zoom (and simultaneously partake of your own lunch). Zoom link available soon.
