...during the 6-week initial program, participants will learn about the effects of exercise on chronic diseases, participate in flexibility and strength building exercises during a group workout, and sample a variety of dishes using nutritious foods. Program instructors are Susan Johnson, nutritionist at K-State Research and Extension — Douglas County, and Wayne Osness, a retired University of Kansas professor of health and exercise.
The cost is $25 per person or if you sign up with a friend, the cost is $15 per person. If a PATH graduate would like to participate in the program again, the cost is $5.
After the six-week program is completed, participants are welcome to participate in an exercise class with other PATH graduates free of charge, and there are two Lawrence locations available.
The class at First Baptist meets Tues and Thurs mornings.
