During Lent:
Lenten Bible Study: Tuesdays, February 28 – April 4, 11:30 a.m., in person and on Zoom. Pastor Matt and Pastor Cristina will lead this study, which will include material from the book Entering the Passion of Jesus by Amy-Jill Levine.
Lenten Meditation Walk: Saturday, March 4, 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Join Earthworks Team Blue for a meditative mowed-path labyrinth walk.
Taizé-style Worship Service: Sunday, March 26, 6:00 p.m. There will be ecumenical Taizé-style services held at various churches in Lawrence throughout Lent. This particular one is here at FBC.
During Holy Week:
Palm Sunday: Sunday, April 2, 8:38 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship services, with children’s Palm processional during the 11:00 a.m. service.
Maundy Thursday Worship: Thursday, April 6, 7:00 p.m.
Good Friday Labyrinth Walk: Friday, April 7, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Peace Mennonite Church, 615 Lincoln St., Lawrence, KS
Good Friday Worship at TOPEKA First Baptist Church: Friday, April 7, 7:00 p.m. Worship with area Baptist churches at First Baptist Church of Topeka, 3033 SW MacVicar Ave. with participants from FBC Lawrence, New Hope & Community Church, New Life Baptist Church, & West Side Baptist.
Children’s Eggstravaganza Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 8, 10:00 a.m. All families are welcome! We’ll have an egg hunt, storytime, and draw with sidewalk chalk. Please bring your own egg basket.
Easter
Easter Sunrise Service: 6:45 a.m., at Centennial Park – East Side, 2124 W. 9th St.
Early Worship Service: 8:38 a.m., located in the FBC sanctuary for Easter morning only (normally in the Judson Room). This service is in person, less formal, more interactive, with no livestream.
Easter Breakfast: 9:30–10:30 a.m. in Roger Williams Room (gym).
Late Worship Service: 11:00 a.m., in person and livestreamed on YouTube and Facebook, FBC sanctuary.
