2026 Colorado Summit Area Trip

Where: the Summit area, staying in Breckenridge

When: Monday, June 15 – Saturday, June 20, 2026

FBC Earthworks Team Blue invites the congregationfor a week’s worth of activities to reconnect with the natural world in the mountains of Colorado’s Summit area!  From there we’ll venture out for a wide choice of activities: hiking (leisurely as well as strenuous), biking (road or mountain—and e-bikes can be rented!), rafting (mild or challenging), trail running, stand-up paddle boarding, horseback riding, and, if it works out, listen to an outdoor concert by the National Repertory Orchestra.

Lodging: Our home base will be the Pineridge Condominiums in Breckenridge, CO (elevation 9600′). Reservations have been made for condo units, each of which sleeps eight (two bedrooms + loft in each unit) and two bathrooms.

Cost: Costs for lodging will be around $300 per person (half price for youth). Additional expenses will include travel to Breckenridge and food (shared breakfasts and dinners at the condo can help keep costs down).

Options for activities abound!

Hiking and Trail Running: There are trails for all abilities very close to Breckenridge (check out this link to All Trails Breckenridge). For those wanting to tackle a 14er, we have a number of options to choose from (Grays/Torreys, Quandary, Sherman, and Elbert).

Biking: Summit County is home to many miles of paved biking trails as well as mountain biking options. With a little planning, longer and more strenuous rides are also possible. And what’s more, with an e-bike, almost all things are possible.

Eating: Crepes a La Cart, Downstairs at Eric’s, Pho Real, Mom’s Baking Company… Breckenridge has many great options.

Rest and Relaxation: By a stream, at the hot tub, in the pool.

EVERYONE is welcome, whatever your preferred activity level—whether you want to participate in the activities mentioned or just hang around the lodge and enjoy nature! There are plenty of more relaxing places to walk, and the beauty of God’s creation is all around.

We hope it will be possible for many of you to be nourished by this week in God’s beautiful Creation.

In order to finalize arrangements, please complete and submit the form below as soon as possible, no later than March 15. If you are responding for multiple people, please let us know the number.

If you have any questions at all, there’s a place to write them on the form below. A Team Blue leader will get in touch with you.
