Kid’s Sunday Mornings @ FBC
Covid-19 Precautions: Currently, everyone ages 2 and up is required to wear a mask indoors and use hand sanitizer when entering the room. Contact Pastor Cristina with any other questions or concerns.
Our nursery is available for adults and their young children if they need a space to play, change a diaper, use the toddler bathroom, etc. Currently, there is no nursery staff, so adults must stay with their children while they are using the nursery. Please let Pastor Cristina know if the nursery is missing any supplies that you need.
Children’s Sunday School
Preschool & Kindergarten: Kids ages 3 through kindergarten gather every week for a play based curriculum to learn about and explore Bible stories through music, play, and stories. Curriculum: Frolic.
1st & 2nd grade: The 1st & 2nd grade class meets weekly to hear a Bible story and do related fun activities. Curriculum: Smyth & Helwys Faith Steps.
3rd–5th Grade: Our vibrant 3rd–5th grade class meets every Sunday with a Bible story, discussion, & craft. This class offers a virtual option; just ask for details! Curriculum: Smyth & Helwys Faith Steps.
Children’s Music Time
Following Sunday School, children are brought to the Children’s Church room for a time of praise music and a snack.
During 11am service
During the 11:00am service, children will be dismissed for Children’s Church about halfway through the service. At children’s church, kids will have a lesson based off of the main sermon, but at a level that is geared just for them, followed by a time of work and play. It is up to parents and kids as to when they stop going to children’s church (towards upper elementary school, many kids start to prefer to stay in the service instead of coming to children’s church). At the end of the service, parents will come and pick up their kids from the Children’s Church room. [Note: on the first Sunday of the month, there will be no Children’s Church]
