Blessing of the Animals

Bring your pets for a Blessing of the Animals on Sunday 10/15 at 2:00 p.m. in the FBC courtyard! (Children are welcome to bring one or two special stuffed animals for a blessing!) In October we celebrate the Feast of St. Francis (1182—1226), a Christian teacher known for his love for all of God’s creatures. In his tradition, let us gather together to bless our animals, and bring the animals in your lives who remind us so often of God’s unconditional love for an FBC Earthworks service of worship.
Just a few things to remember:
• Friendly and well-behaved animals will be welcomed. For those who become nervous, aggressive or who simply cannot make it, they can be represented by photos, etc.
• Animals must be under control and suitably restrained (no choke chain or slip collars, please).
• Animals must have identification in the event of an escape.
Our pets are a blessing to us…..join us in blessing them!
