FBC Earthworks Team Blue Landon Nature Trail Bike Ride

Join Team Blue for a Landon Nature Trail Bike Ride! Meet at 9 am in OVERBROOK, KS (see directions below) The Landon Nature Trail is a Rails-to-Trails bike and hike path with a gravel surface that is 8-10 ft wide. We will ride a section from Overbrook to Michigan Valley and back on Saturday morning for a total of 14 miles. Most of the route is in the shade. Bring your bike, water, snacks, and wear your helmet. Directions: Head south on Highway 59 from Lawrence until you reach Highway 56. Go west on Highway 56 about 15.5 miles to Overbrook. That is 8th Street in town. Turn south on Maple Street and go about 0.5 mile. The gravel parking lot for the trailhead is roughly between 2nd and 1st streets near the veterinary clinic. There are no facilities so you may want to stop at a gas station first. We’ll ride out and back for a total of about 14 miles with an estimated return to Lawrence around 12 pm.
