FBC is a host congregation for Family Promise of Lawrence on a quarterly rotation, now at their temporary family shelter location. We provide meals and eat with Family Promise guest families during our hosting week for guest families, among other things.
Family Promise is a central ministry at FBC. Not only is our congregation and building involved in hosting, Pastor Matt also serves on the Family Promise of Lawrence board of directors, and Wendy Wheeler, one of FBC’s Family Promise coordinators, is also the Congregational Care Coordinator for Family Promise of Lawrence itself.
