8:38 Early worship service (why 8:38? Our trial run of this service included a sermon by Pastor Matt based on Acts 8:38, and we liked the time!) This service is in person (not livestreamed), less formal, and more interactive.
9:30–10:30 We have Sunday school for children, youth, and adults. Some classes have virtual options.
10:30–10:50 The children have Explorations with Pastor Cristina, and from 10:30–11:00, adults and youth have coffee and fellowship time.
11:00 Late worship service begins, both in person and livestreamed on YouTube and Facebook. The worship style of this service is more traditional and liturgical, with pastors wearing robes, music including hymns accompanied by organ or piano, and anthems sung by our chancel choir. About once a month, our worship band plays a more contemporary song. Children are dismissed partway through this service for Children’s Church.
12:30 Following the late service, our Two-Way Sermon Discussion Group meets on Zoom and in person in the Sojourners Room to talk about that Sunday’s sermon and also the topic for the coming Sunday’s. (Sign up HERE to get the link to attend virtually.)
