October Worship Series
Back in the day, before streaming music services, CD’s, or even 8-tracks, there existed musical black circles called “records.” Kidding aside, even those of younger generations who have fallen in love with vinyl might not remember the forgotten “B-sides” of records. Especially on a 7-inch single record, which only had one song per side, the front held the more famous tune, leaving the B-side for a lesser-known or oddball piece.
We all know about the “A-side” books of the Old Testament. Genesis and Exodus. Psalms and Isaiah. Amos and the Samuels. Jonah and Job. But what about those lesser-known books and stories…those that we don’t hear as much about? There has to be a reason that they are in there, right? Let’s dig into some of them and find out what God is up to…on the flip side!
October 4 — Leviticus: Where “Bible-in-a-Year” Readers Hit the Wall
October 11 — Nehemiah: Reconstructing a Nation, One Thrown Rock at a Time
October 18 — Lamentations: From the Broken Heart of the “Weeping Prophet”
October 25 — Nahum: You Made This One Up, Right?
