Calling All Caregivers!
- Do you care for the significant needs of a family member or close family friend?
- Do you experience exhaustion, emotional roller coasters, and caregiver stress in your role?
- Do you wish that there were a place where you could go to share, listen, support, vent, cry, and pray your way through the challenges that you face?
We will be offering a Caregiver Support Group for those who are looking for such support. It will be led by Rev. Thomas Cobbs, a Certified Caregiving Facilitator, and Rev. Janis Cobbs, a pastoral care specialist and phenomenal teacher. They will be offering a monthly opportunity for those who are caring for a spouse, parent, family member or friend who has special physical and/or emotional needs that require significant attention. They’ll provide a safe space to share and learn from one another, and experts in the field.
Beginning Thursday, October 15 from 5:30 to 6:30, you are invited to join them in the 3D Classroom (Room 149). Use the Courtyard doors to enter the building (north side). If you have any questions—or if you would like to be in the loop but cannot make that first meeting—let the Cobbs or Pastor Matt know. You and your vocation of care matter to us at First Baptist, and we want to make sure you have the support you need.
