During the next few weeks and months, we will be submitting small pieces of information for you to learn about AMOS Health and Hope. Most of us understand the food pantry, our ministry with Family Promise, our responsibilities to LINK and to Bethel Neighborhood Center. AMOS Health and Hope is a new ministry for us as we respond to create a journey beyond “Jerusalem and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
Today, we’ll start with the AMOS Health and Hope vision.
Motivated by our Christian faith, we envision a world:
• With health for all people
• Where no child dies from a preventable disease
• With effective and empowering health care
Next week, we’ll talk about how AMOS staff is doing this and in following weeks, we’ll talk about how we know they are successful AND how we at FBC Lawrence can be a part of this work.
